The oasis by the water hole

When Martin and Jenny were creating the cooling water hole at home in Billdal outside Göteborg they realized that they also wanted a pool house. Then they could also have their needs for a guest house and extra office met.

When they compared prices between different house suppliers they realized that they could get a turnkey Attefallshus for the same price as if they did everything themselves. However, they did not want only a functional house, filled with with plastic, clumsy moldings and PVC windows. They wanted something that both looked good and felt genuine – and that was built in well-thought-out materials from the inside out.

During this time a friend took Jenny along to look at one of Sommarnöjens Attefallshus. That house became the inspiration for their own Tidlös Sommar 25.

The house is painted in graying tar vitriol and now stands on the large wooden terrace right by the pool. To contrast all the wood they chose a metal roof with a galvanized finish. The large sliding glass sections face the pool and around one corner and have a surface treatment that matches the whole.

"Having large glass windows gives an outdoor-room feeling," says Jenny.

Inside they chose the interior style Calm. Throughout, light, solid natural materials are used. The walls are covered with white vertical wood paneling and the solid floor with white-waxed wood.

"When you step in there is a certain calm actually," she continues. "We also sit here and work. It works really well."

They have chosen to furnish the living room with a sofa bed.  The loft can also be used for overnight stays.

During the summer they open the sliding glass doors and use the house as an actual outdoor room. They have not only got a practical pool house, but also a beautiful place house to socialize in. Just as Martin and Jenny wished.
