Sommarnöjen is not an intermediary between idea and construction. We are the architect, manufacturer and project manager all in the same organisation. This means the home is designed with full creative freedom, always safe in the knowledge of how it will actually be built, what it will cost and how long it will take.
When creating the design, we consider the structure. When choosing materials, we consider the production. When discussing the floor plan, we consider the budget. This keeps your individualised house firmly on track – from first sketch to final delivery, with a fixed price, a clear schedule and a partner who takes responsibility every step of the way.

Our architecture is rooted in the Scandinavian tradition of simplicity, honest materials and a strong connection between inside and outside.
In an individualised house, everything begins with the location. How the morning light hits the rocks, how the wind moves through the trees and where the view opens up. Only then do we turn to the design – rooting it in the way the home will be used and experienced over time.
Placement, orientation and volume are crucial – for how the light falls across the dining table, how the evening sun reaches the deck and how the house opens onto the landscape. Windows, outdoor spaces and sight lines are planned to enhance the connection with nature. The house should not dominate the landscape – it should deepen your experience of it.
With our long experience of working in archipelagos, forests, mountains and open farmland, we are confident about how our architecture interacts with Sweden’s natural environment – aesthetically, technically and climatically.
The process – from idea to finished architect-designed house
Creating your own house should be inspiring, not complicated. It is a journey from idea to site, from sketch to spaces for living.
1. Initial meeting
We help you to organise and set priorities so the project has a clear direction from the start.
2. Drawing and priorities
We develop proposals for the placement and floor plan and help you to weigh your architectural ambitions against functionality and the budget.
3. Quote and agreement
You receive a clear quote for delivery of the house. The quote covers all the work that an individualised house requires – architectural drawings and complete construction documents including static calculations, electrical drawings, plumbing drawings and interior layouts.
4. Building permit and production
We manage the building permit process and manufacture the house in our factory under controlled conditions.
5. Delivery and assembly
The home is transported to the plot and assembled efficiently on site.
Throughout the process, you have a single point of contact with us, ensuring both clarity and continuity.
Quality in every detail
In an individualised house, the interior is part of the architecture. With our own workshop, we can manufacture kitchens, storage and built-in joinery exactly as designed – adapted to the proportions, light and materials of each room.
The houses are built in our own factory, where carpenters, project managers and specialists work together. This gives us full control over both the workmanship and details at every stage, and makes it possible to realise solutions that require more precision than standardised manufacturing allows.
We work with natural and sustainable materials, timber from Nordic forests and structures adapted for the Nordic climate all year round.
The result is an architect-designed house whose architecture, structure and interior form a coherent whole.

Building a home is a major investment, so clear agreements and defined responsibilities are essential.
The quote you receive from us is thorough and transparent. It states a fixed price for what is included, clear specifications and defined delivery terms, so you know what you are ordering, what is included in and when your house will be ready for delivery.
You can choose from three options with responsibilities and scope clearly defined from the start.
Essential Service
We deliver and assemble the house at a fixed price.
You procure the groundwork for the plot and are responsible for any developer’s costs set by the local authority.
Complete Service
We coordinate the entire project, including procurement and coordination of groundwork, and take on ten-year liability for the whole thing.
We deliver your individualised, turnkey home at a fixed price.
You cover the actual cost of the groundwork and any developer’s costs.
Complete Service Fixed Price
The project is carried out as with the Complete Service.
The fixed price includes the fully assembled home, groundwork and developer’s costs.
The agreement you sign with us is subject to certain conditions. If the site survey shows that the house cannot be delivered without additional costs, or if the building permit and other necessary permissions are not granted, the agreement will be cancelled. This ensures that the process is built on a secure foundation

The materials are chosen to age with dignity and become more beautiful over time: solid wood floors from Nordic forests, non-toxic surface treatments, porcelain tiles in muted tones and finely crafted joinery manufactured in our own workshop.

Yes. We can work from a blank canvas and develop an entirely unique solution, or expand on an existing model and adapt it to the site. In both cases, the house is designed with both architecture and feasibility in mind.
