A house for all seasons

With inspiration from the simple barns in norra Sverige, Tidlös Äng 150 has been given an architecture that combines traditional forms with modern solutions. Two shifted house volumes with a high gable roof give the house a clear silhouette, while large glass panels open up towards the landscape.

The offset between the building volumes not only gives the house its character, but also creates sheltered outdoor patios and views in several directions. Light enters from different sides and changes the character of the rooms during the day.

A warm and natural whole

The heart of the house is the large living area where kitchen, dining area and living room share space under a generous ceiling height of up to 3.5 meters. The large glass panels enhance the sense of space and blur the boundary between inside and outside.

Inside, the expression is bright and warm, with natural materials and well-thought-out details. The kitchen is part of the open social area, with a large kitchen island that offers both workspace and seating. There is plenty of space here for both large dinners and quiet weekends with the family.

Space for family and friends

With four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious sleeping loft there is plenty of space for both family and guests. The loft's skylights let in daylight and offer a view of the starry sky in the evening.

The floor plan creates a nice balance between open, social spaces and more private rooms for calm and privacy.

A house with a personal touch

Although Tidlös Äng 150 has a clear architectural base, there are great opportunities to customize the house according to personal wishes. Here the owners have chosen to combine details from two of Sommarnöjens interior styles. 

The roof in white-pigmented spruce comes from the interior style Varm, while the smooth, ivory-white walls are taken from Sober. The combination creates a bright interior where the texture of the wood adds warmth.

The owners have also enlisted Sommarnöjens architects to design the house's pergola, which becomes a natural extension of the house and creates space for both socializing and relaxation. The result is a well-considered solution that blends into the architecture and makes the outdoor environment an obvious part of the home.

A house beyond the ordinary
