Sommarnöjen launches Klara Fjällhus – wants to make it easier to build architect-designed homes in the mountains

The Swedish house company Sommarnöjen launches Klara Fjällhus, a new initiative with architect-designed houses for the Nordic mountain environment. By bringing architecture, production and project management together in one organization, the company wants to make the building process in the mountains simpler, safer and more predictable.

Sommarnöjen has since 2005 developed architect-designed holiday homes in the Nordics. With Klara Fjällhus the company now brings the same view on architecture, materials and the building process to mountain environments, where climate, snow zones and construction logistics place special demands on both houses and building.

– We want to make the path to an architect-designed mountain house simple, inspiring and secure. With Klara Fjällhus we have gathered our experience of holiday homes and adapted it to the conditions of the mountains, says Tomas Tjajkovski, founder of Sommarnöjen.

– Building in the mountains can be more complicated than many think. With Klara Fjällhus we want to make the path to an architect-designed mountain house simpler, safer and more predictable, continues Tomas Tjajkovski.

The collection includes several architect-designed models. From larger mountain houses to smaller guest houses, attefall houses and detached sauna and relaxation houses. The architecture is based on a Scandinavian tradition and the houses are designed with materials and constructions that work in a Nordic mountain climate.

All models are produced in Sommarnöjens factory and delivered turnkey at a fixed price, with the option of a turnkey contract.

– Many who build in the mountains live far from their plot. By bringing the entire process into one organization we can create a smoother and more predictable building journey, says Thomas Holm, Klara Fjällhus.

With Klara Fjällhus Sommarnöjen aims to offer architect-designed mountain houses where architecture, materials and craftsmanship are designed to last over time, both in expression and function.
