Sommarnöjen competes in Grand Design!

In season 3 of Grand Design Sweden our site-built house ”Lilla Rågholmen” is competing to become House of the Year in the category ”One with Nature”.

Anna and Per contacted Sommarnöjen when their Falu-red cottage, which had been in the family's possession for over 100 years, had finally fallen into such poor condition that they decided to demolish it and build anew. Sommarnöjen erected, in collaboration with among others our subcontractors Arrhov Frick arkitektkontor, a 175 sqm house with 360-degree views.rnOver four episodes, architecture critic Mark Isitt will lead viewers on a journey where a total of 16 houses in four different categories compete to become House of the Year. One house will emerge as the winner of the House of the Year award, which is presented by Grand Designs together with Sveriges Arkitekter. The jury's chair is the well-known architect Petra Gipp who, together with other architects, selects the winner. Mark guides the viewers, and with great fascination and knowledge shares his perspective on the architecture.
