Premiere of Attefall houses at 30 sqm

Since 1 March 2020 it has been possible to build 30-square-metre Attefall houses, also called Bolundare. Real houses in every respect, just on a slightly smaller scale.

Our working group has worked for a year to develop the best solutions from our popular models at 25 and 35 sqm and refine the houses further.

In September we will launch 30 sqm guest houses with up to 12 beds per house but you can already find our Complementary Dwelling Houses at 30 sqm here.

If the Attefall house is to be used as permanent residence it must meet the requirements placed on residential houses. It should have a bathroom and kitchen and be fully accessible. Our new collection of complete Complementary Dwelling Houses at 30 sqm meets all the new requirements, is winterized and as solidly built as our larger houses.

Our range gives you the choice between three architectural styles, narrow or wide designs, separate bedrooms or extra-large living rooms, orientation towards the front or the gable, a loft or not – and as always with us the opportunity for individual character.

12 years of compact houses

Already in 2008 we presented Sweden's first small architect-designed houses, when the permitted size of friggebods was increased to 15 square metres. They were designed in collaboration with Tham & Videgård Arkitektkontor and attracted attention thanks to their functionality and design.

In 2014 we developed, together with architect Thomas Sandell, Sweden's first Attefall houses. They premiered at Norrmalmstorg in Stockholm where the government presented the new legislation.

In 2020 you can get our Attefall houses at 30 sqm with the shape and floor plan that you need. Our architects will help you adapt the house so that it fits on your plot. And of course we can take full responsibility for your project so that you don't have to do anything yourself.
