Sommarnöjens house becomes a gallery
Between 15 October and 15 December an art exhibition will take place in Sommarnöjens house in the middle of the Scanian countryside. A tufted portrait, mirror art, pojagi and tables made from cardboard cartons are a selection of all works that the interior designer, Helen Sturesson, has curated for an exhibition in our new show house in Romeleåsen, Skåne.

Kajsa Willner
Swedish designer who works with reuse and experimental craft in the borderland between art and design. Through her concept Craft Punk she gives new life to scrap wood that is transformed into colorful, sculpted objects where every piece of material becomes part of the expression.
Her works have been shown internationally and range from exhibitions and installations to furniture and monumental sculptures.

Curiosity about the transformation of materials drives the process and shapes the works. The symbolism of mirror glass and its play with light, darkness and reflection are recurring elements, often combined with other materials with equally interesting properties.

Johanna Wikstrand Moresco
Creator and designer with a background in fashion, product design and illustration. Since 2020 Johanna is part of Kulladal Kitchens, which creates handcrafted kitchens in solid wood. Her handmade ceramic plates are often decorated with birds. A symbol of creativity and of finding one's direction in life, while also reminding of childhood summers in the countryside, when the swallows' rustle and way to the nest became the sound of security, family and happiness.

A longing to create something with the hands became the starting shot for the construction of fishing lures. Wood and paint in an obvious combination. The pieces are made of beech, a wood species with character, strength and a warm tone. Each lure is weighted by hand, carefully and methodically, until it gets precisely the movement that its form requires. No lure is like another. Each color scheme, every shade and every pattern is unique.

Sommarnöjen
Sommarnöjen designs, builds and delivers turnkey houses of good architecture and natural materials. The exhibition is shown in a Tidlös Sommar 70, with floor plan Äng. The interior style is called Rå and means, among other things, that walls and ceilings are made of birch plywood and that the floor has a solid brushed pine tongue-and-groove.
The house has a clear form and close contact with nature thanks to its sharp gable roof without eaves and its large sliding window sections.
