Gotlandic house for G.A.D

Sommarnöjen has created a house together with the Gotland-based furniture manufacturer G.A.D. It is being shown this summer at G.A.Ds outlet in beautiful Västergarn south of Visby.

G.A.D has solid experience in creating furniture that combines timeless design and classic craftsmanship. Sommarnöjens builds beautiful holiday homes around Sweden.

Sommarnöjens house for G.A.D has emerged through dialogue between Sommarnöjens architects and the founder of G.A.D, Kristian Eriksson.

The size of exactly 30 kvm is no coincidence since it is expected to become the new format for the future Attefallshus. The form is based on a traditional Gotland barn and is so discreet that it fits in all environments.

The house's gables are covered with wood cladding while the long sides are open and let light pass straight through the main room. The exterior is monochrome – the wooden walls and wooden roof are treated with faluröd wood tar and the specially designed sliding glass sections give an industrial feel.

The interior is designed with light grey walls and stained pine floors to showcase the fine furniture from G.A.D. The kitchen and sleeping loft are integrated into the interior.

Welcome to G.A.Ds outlet in Västergarn, which is open during July. On site there are representatives from Sommarnöjen and G.A.D as well as furniture at outlet prices.
