Delivery time

We manufacture our modular houses indoors in our factory year-round. On average we need 8-10 months from approved building permit to finished house. The smaller houses are usually delivered fully finished while the larger ones are assembled on site, which takes at most one or two weeks.

Production time varies over the year and we state it in your contract. The total time from when you sign a contract with us until move-in depends on a few factors.

If it is a custom-designed house our architects will design it, review it with you and revise the drawings. Depending on how extensive the project is this process can take from a couple of weeks to a couple of months.

When the house has been designed the building permit documents are prepared and sent to the municipality. The municipality should grant a building permit within ten weeks from when they have received the documents. The time, however, varies between municipalities and times – sometimes it is faster and sometimes it takes longer.

When the building permit has been granted a start decision is applied for and after that everything is ready to be able to manufacture the house. We then prepare construction documents for your specific house where all details such as kitchen, carpentry, storage, electrical wiring and plumbing are exactly defined.

While the house is being manufactured in the factory the ground work is done at your site. When the house's volumetric modules have been manufactured we transport them to you, lift them into place and assemble them into a finished house. If your house comes in a single volume it does not need to be assembled.

When the house is finished the local contractor who has installed the electrical and plumbing will connect the house. This usually takes a few hours. When the work is finished you can request a final inspection of the house to ensure that everything works as it should and get the house approved.

Before you move in there should be a final consultation with the municipality and your person responsible for control. Thereafter the municipality issues a final decision and life in the new home can begin.

Because the total project time depends on the municipality's current processing time and the availability of your inspector and person responsible for control it is not possible to guarantee a move-in date in advance. We can, however, give you a clear time for when the house is ready from when it can begin to be built. In most cases it is realistic to expect 2-3 months from contract to completed building permit application, 9-11 months production time and 1-2 months from finished house to move-in.
